Reading through the whole Bible
Reading through the whole Bible is a great challenge to set yourself but it can be daunting. There are many different ways you can go about doing this. Here are just some of the options;
Bible in 1 Year Robert Murray M’Cheyne was a 19th century scottish minister who had a great concern to help his congregation read the Bible. His Bible reading plan involves reading four chapters each day. This means that in the course of the year you will read the New Testament and Psalms twice and the rest of the Old Testament once.
Bible in 2 Years Enfield Evangelical Free Church in North London have produced a Bible Reading plan that takes you through the Old Testament once and the New Testament twice over the course of two years.
Bible in 3 Years Tim Chester is a Pastor and Author who has psoken at BEC on several occassions. Tim has developed a slightly more flexible way to read through the Bible. Instead of set passages for each day there are set sections for each week. This gives you more flexibility than the M’Cheyne plan. If you follow this plan then over the course of three years you will read the Old Testament once and the New Testament twice.
BEC Bible Reading Plans
In previous years we have produced our own Bible reading plan. The nice thing about these plans is that there are only five passages for each week which gives you a bit of flexibility.
